This notice explains what the Buildwick site attendance system records about you and why. It is written for the workers, supervisors and office staff of Buildwick Engineering Pte Ltd (UEN 201618524R) and follows Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act.
Who is responsible
Buildwick Engineering Pte Ltd is your employer and decides how this system is used. Redfluent Pte Ltd builds and operates the system on Buildwick's behalf and does not use your data for any other purpose.
What is recorded
- Your worker ID, name, employment status and the site you work at
- The date and time you clock in and out, generated by our server (not by your phone)
- The photo you take at each clock in and out, with the time and your details stamped onto it
- Hours worked, overtime, lateness, leave and the pay calculated from them
- A log of changes made by supervisors and administrators, so corrections can be traced
Why it is recorded
To calculate your pay correctly, to keep the employment records the Ministry of Manpower requires, and to establish who was on site on a given day if there is an accident or a dispute about wages.
The camera
The photo is taken live at the moment you press the button. The system cannot read photos already stored on your phone, and it does not access your gallery, contacts or location. The camera is only active while the clock-in screen is open.
Who can see it
- You — your own punches, photos, hours and pay
- Your supervisor — attendance for the crew, to approve overtime and correct mistakes
- Buildwick office staff — everything needed to run payroll
- Redfluent — only as needed to keep the system running and to fix faults
Your data is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Employment records are kept for at least the periods the Employment Act requires — two years for current employees, and one year after employment ends. Records are never silently deleted: a wrong entry is marked void with a reason, and the original stays on file so the correction can be audited.
Where it is stored
Attendance data is held in a Cloudflare database in the Asia-Pacific region. Photos are stored on Redfluent's own server in Singapore and are only reachable through this application after you sign in.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal data this system holds about you, and ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong. Speak to your supervisor or the Buildwick office, or write to the address below.
